Memorial Day, the unofficial kickoff of summer, is just over a month away. You’ve likely been looking for things to do and ways to pass the time on the weekends. You’ve likely been planning your summer vacations, especially for when school is out.
The peak of camping season is quickly approaching and you’ll quite possibly be spending some of your summer in your RV, camper, tent, or a cabin. Make sure Outdoor Adventures is top on your list of places to go. Why, you ask? Just keep reading and we’ll tell you!
One of the best things about Outdoor Adventures is actually multiple things: Our variety of resorts! While we started with one resort and weren’t entirely sure what would happen from there, we had big dreams! We’ve been fortunate to be able to make those dreams come true.
We started with Saginaw Bay Resort in Standish.
We then added Wilderness, Rifle River, Lake of the North, Lake Shore, Mount Pleasant, and Grand Haven over the following 19 years!
Each of our resorts has its own personality and offers things that others don’t. Each is the favorite to different people. And that’s a big part of what makes Outdoor Adventures special. There truly is something for everyone. Quiet, wooded campsites. Resorts where you’ll never meet a stranger (because everyone’s a friend!). Activities almost all day long. Chances to have fun with your fellow visitors. Chances to spend time alone on a boat in the middle of a lake. The opportunity to take your kids or grandkids trick-or-treating to a TON of safe sites, all while getting to see kids and adults alike in their amazing and entertaining costumes. Huge fireworks displays celebrating Independence Day. Cozy, private space just for you and your guests in a cabin. Pools, hot tubs, and lakes to relax in. Kayaks, paddle boats, canoes, tubes, and rowboats to venture out on. Mud puddles to play in. Water fun to have. Campfires to enjoy. Hayrides to take (and songs to sing on them!). The list goes on and on!
Our resorts are also safe. Each resort has security to monitor activity. Secure storage is available for those who want to keep their rig on site. The speed limit is five miles per hour in all resorts, meaning guests can ride bikes and walk the grounds with more peace of mind. Camping neighbors watch out for each other.
Two of our resorts are open year-round. Some people would never consider camping outside of summer, or “nice weather.” Others cherish winter camping, when it’s quiet, there are fewer visitors, and they can get away from it all. Michigan weather is unpredictable and we certainly have all four seasons. It’s nice to know you’ve got some place to go no matter the season!
Each of these fabulous resorts is run by our dedicated and equally fabulous team. From the person who takes your reservation, to the security guard who greets you at the gate, to the store staff who checks you in or helps you with your purchase, to the maintenance team who keeps the facilities running, to the housekeeping staff who prepares the rentals for your stay, to the activities staff who plans fun things to keep you busy, to the management staff who keeps the ship smoothly sailing… we’re all here for and because of YOU. We are here to make sure that you visit goes as smoothly as possible and we’re ready to welcome you back again!
What is quite possibly the best thing of all is that you never know what’s coming next. We’ve grown so much over the last 21 years. If it’s not in opening new resorts, it’s in improving upon the existing ones. We love to hear ideas from our guests so that we can continue to help you have the kind of experiences you’ll talk about for a lifetime and your kids and grandkids will too!
