In Hawaii, “Ohana” means “family.” In West Branch, “Lake of the North” means “family.” If you’ve been there even one time, you know what we’re talking about. This resort is the smallest in the Outdoor Adventures family, in terms of the number of campsites and rental units, but that seems to just mean that the employees and guests get to know each other quickly and become like extended family almost immediately.
Outdoor Adventures, Inc., bought Lake George Campground in 1999. This beautiful campground is located on Lake George, which is an all-sports lakes that is 200 acres in size and nearly 100 feet deep. The resort has a private beach and private boat docks.
There are 42 full hookup campsites, 57 water and electric campsites, and two rental units available at this resort.
The amenities are fun for people of all ages! Guests can take advantage of horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, a clubhouse with an arcade, a pool, the lake (of course!), boats available for rent, fishing, putt putt, a playground, and more. There are also the practical but necessary things like laundry facilities, a general store, honey wagon service, and a dump station. Everything you need!
The annual fishing tournament is a lot of fun, and you can fish any time you want to in Lake George!
Going back to that family feeling, one of the best parts of Lake of the North Resort is the community fire pit. You never know who you’ll find hanging out there, but you always know it’ll lead to a good time!
While there is a lot to do at Lake of the North Resort, there is also plenty of opportunity for peaceful moments, rest, and relaxation. It is a beautiful resort, for certain.
Grab your calendar and plan your next trip to West Branch. It’s full of adventure just waiting for you!
And watch out while you’re there… you’re likely to see lots of smiles just like this one.
