Whether you’re a minimalist when it comes to the holidays or as festive as Buddy the Elf, we’ve got you covered when it comes to decorating your RV for the holidays! There’s no need to break the bank or sacrifice space when transforming your camper into a joyful oasis. We’ve compiled a list of great items to consider while decorating your RV. Let’s get started!
#1. Table-Top Christmas Tree
Saving space is everything! This is why we recommend opting for a table-top Christmas tree. These compact and beautiful space savers can go on a counter or your dining room table. Some come pre-decorated and others allow for your creativity to shine. The choice is yours! No matter what, table-top Christmas trees tend to be very affordable compared to larger faux trees or real Christmas trees, which makes them a definite winner when it comes to decorating your RV.
#2. Lights
Don’t be afraid to go all out when it comes to lights! One thing we love about lights when it comes to decorating an RV is that you have the ability to make your entire living space feel like a Christmas wonderland with not nearly as much work as this would take with a traditional home. You can decorate the inside and outside of your RV and still have time and energy to kick your feet up and enjoy a nice cup of cocoa with the family.
#3. Stockings
Who doesn’t love a good arts and crafts project? Round up the kiddos, grab your Christmas stockings and lets get started! Decorating stockings is great fun for the entire family! And the best part about this holiday project is that there is no right or wrong way to do so. Glitter, markers, buttons, funny pictures! The choice is really up to you on how to make your Christmas stockings look and feel like your own.
#4. Ornaments
While you have the arts and crafts out, don’t forget ornaments! Just because your tree is smaller doesn’t mean you have to ditch the ornaments! Ornaments can still be placed on the tree or in cool places around your RV! If you’re up for a cool project, why not try an ornament wall? You can pin your ornaments to a corkboard, or even hang them outside your camper for all to see! Speaking of Outside…
#5. Scents!
You can’t forget the holiday scents! We don’t know about you, but for us the holidays always have a distinct smell. Whether it is the fresh pine trees or the aroma of fresh cookies in the oven, you can’t forget to include scents when decorating for the holidays! Luckily for us all, no matter where we are we can always bring along a scent whether it be a candle, spray or incense. As a reminder, please do be careful when lighting candles or incense in your RV.
#6. Faux Presents
If you really want to make your RV feel like a Christmas wonderland, get the kids involved with wrapping faux presents! What we love about faux presents is that they enhance the feeling of Christmas and they are great indoors or out, and a fun project the entire family can enjoy and for little money! All you need is wrapping paper and a few boxes and you’re good to go! Don’t be afraid to use the arts and crafts for this project either. Get creative! If you want to take this project a step further, don’t be afraid to fill your faux presents with actual fun surprises either for the family or for your neighboring campers. After all, the holiday season is better when we give, and it doesn’t have to be much: Candy, homemade ornaments, stocking stuffers, you name it, the choice is yours! You can decorate a sign letting others know there are free gifts outside your camper! How cool is that?
