The Kalamazoo Resort upgrade and expansion project is well underway! We have made a ton of progress this year, despite even COVID-19. Check out below what we’ve been up to these past few months.
April
- Power was shut off at the resort to begin installation of new transformers and distribution boxes for existing campsites
July
- We continued to work on the electrical pedestals at existing campsites.
- We also installed new water lines and hose bibs.
- 10 new park models have been installed.
- 4 new Safari tents have been installed and are open for reservations.
August
- Completed installation of new transformers, distribution panels and the main underground wire
- 40 of the 170 existing campsites have been upgraded to 50 amp hookup
September
- Broke ground and moved in equipment to begin development of 72 brand new, full hookup campsites
- Began mass grading on the property
- Staking and layout
- Ordering manholes and material

Beautiful resort with great amenities. We stayed in an oceanfront king room that overlooked the pool and ocean. The room was Very clean and spacious. This was an anniversary trip for me and my husband. Upon arrival, we found a chilled bottle of champagne and a lovely note wishing us a happy anniversary. Every single member of the staff from check-in to check out was great! I honestly don’t have one single complaint about this place. It is super super super and I can’t wait to return!!!
I would like to thank you for the lovely basket of champagne and assorted goodies waiting for us in our room when we returned after a morning of shopping. What a wonderful surprise! How very thoughtful of you to remember our 2th anniversary with such a nice gift. We have enjoyed every minute of our time at Resort. The staff have been outstanding, and everyone has made this occasion very special. Thank you.
